Ultrasonic and chemical cleaning of musical instruments

Ultrasonic cleaning is a cleaning a process that we introduced to our shop and have used for 15 years now, it uses ultrasound (usually from 20–400 kHz) that we can adjust depending on the type and condition of the instrument we are cleaning, along with an appropriate cleaning degreaser or sometimes just ordinary tap water to clean instruments . The ultrasound can be used with just water, but use of a degreaser and or a special formulated chemical that dissolves oxidization on non ferrous metals.

Remove Years of Dirt

The combination of Ultrasonics and our chemical tanks will remove years of build up of grease, grime and whatever has been blown into the instrument over the years, which can contain many harmful bacteria.

Improvement in Speed

Ultrasonic cleaning as part of our servicing allows the air flow through the instrument to be improved along with improvements to the speed and feel of the valve block or slide movement.
